If you've been playing with any stock MIM or MIJ Fender Stratocaster, you've probably realized that there's a certain 'stratiness' that you're missing in your tone. The answer to that may be because you are using  'Machine-Wound' pickups, and 'Ceramic' magnets, as opposed to the traditional pickups, which were 'Handwound' and used 'AlNiCo' magnets. This is what originally catapulted the Fender Stratocaster into stardom in the mid 50's.

From a soulful, tasty blues riff to driving country twang, these pickups offer a slightly higher output than the average 50's Stratocaster coils - but they leave the definition, clarity and character that is associated with anything 'Handwound'.

These coils are 'handwound' with beveled Alnico 5 magnets, a vintage 'stagger' and vintage-correct Heavy Formvar wire. They are completely sealed with a lacquer coating to prevent corrosion/shorts. Made of the finest quality materials, these pickups are free of microphonics, flimsy parts, etc. Pickups are wrapped in an acetate adhesive for protection and covered with a plastic cover.

Be sure to measure the spacing of your strings over the pickups - these come stock at 52.2mm from center to center
